Accessing the Building:

1. Unlock the deadbolt (the code is in your Welcome email—do not share it!), wait for the beep.
2. Scan your fob on the reader (Black plastic box to the right of the door), the light will turn green for 5 seconds.
3. Turn knob & push the door while the light is green.

Securing the Building:

Before you leave, ALWAYS check if you are the last one out. If there is only one person around, make sure to communicate to them that you are leaving so they can ensure they lock up.

If you are the last one out, please make sure that:

1. All lights are off
2. All windows are closed (Only upstairs has openable windows
3. Doors are closed and locked (Balcony door upstairs, double doors downstairs)
4. The doorknob is locked and cannot be rotated from outside.
5. The deadbolt is locked (press the 🔒 button, wait for the beep and blue light)

Other Information:

• The system that operates the door is known for occasional access problems, if so please message someone on the Admin team over Discord and we’ll try and have it sorted out as soon as possible..
• The doorknob has a thumbturn to deactivate the latch for certain times when we want the shop to be open, such as the Thursday open house or certain public meetups like TOOOL or electronics night. Please do NOT use this outside of these occasions - if you need to step outside the shop, always bring your fob to reenter!
